Hello,
I just recently learned about Carol passing. Carol was my painting teacher in 1978. I had just moved to the Bowery in NYC after dropping out of RISD's architecture school in Providence, RI. Carol was very supportive and helpful and a gifted art teacher. We met at her loft in Tribeca where she had private painting classes and where she was also painting and constructing very large canvases in acrylic and mixed media. Her paintings were inspirational. In 1980, I ran into Carol at Sarah Lawrence College. And then we lost touch. I sometimes think of Carol's paintings when I am painting in my art studio. She was really into Dioxide Purple and whenever I use Dioxide Purple in my paintings ... I think of Carol. Also,
Carol turned me onto Ralph Mayer's Artist Handbook which became my bible while living in my painting studio in Hoboken in the early 80's. Anyway, here's to you Carol...you were a great teacher and an inspiration to a young artist. You touched my heart.
